OH Shit! I couldn't get past where fruit and vegetables come from, I had to turn her off. Was she stoned or just stupid? I bet her village is so embarrassed that they dropped that ball.
Believe me, it's much worse to be sitting in front of this lady, nodding, making eye contact and trying not to either throw something at her or burst out laughing because you KNOW that the camera will likely turn on you the moment you do something inappropriate than it is to be squirming uncomfortably in the audience waiting for the 2:30 minute comment period to end.
But Judith, you'll have missed the bit where she talks about how the East coast have slaves and believe in slavery and China and stuff. And California can build car-things!
I can't...words escape me...I don't think there is remedial help for stupid. Let's give her a little credit though for feeling strongly enough about something(I'm not quite sure what exactly after all that)to stand up and speak out.
We must also realise (as pointed out by my astute husband) that if she was a tad more prepared and articulate, she'd really be promoting Communism. And organic pesticides.
The food is free....so let's sell it at the farmer's market. And they have slaves on the east coast. And you need to lower rent, because those people are experts and stuff.
There is no way I could have kept a straight face. I felt myself watching the people behind her. No one seemed to be reacting. I suppose their eyes had glazed over fully by then? :-)
OMG!! That was THE MOST PATIENT audience I have ever witnessed!! The fact that someone didn't jump up and strangle her out of mercy is a friggin' miracle!
I did see a couple behind her pointing and laughing.

Help.
Horrible flashbacks to School Board meetings.

Ugh. Shudder.

Sorry Suisan, just think of it as a reminder of how much better things are now.

What is a fucking vegetable tree?
Or pesticides that are healthy for us?
OMG! Um, I um, feel um, dumber for um, watching this.
Thanks for sharing though! :o)
Oh no, I heard that.. that was the part that really sent me over the edge. And people say we're stupid and slow witted in the South.
In those undying words of Forrest Gump: Stupid is as Stupid Does. Get on up there and make a fool of yourself.
